Applications

Built for decision-makers.

The Atmospheric Impact Score (AIS), and the factors that drive it, show decision-makers not just how solutions compare but why. That is useful across a range of decision-making contexts: in carbon markets today, and in the applications we want to build with partners.

Business

Companies weigh very different options to act on climate, from buying credits to cutting their own emissions. The AIF can score a carbon credit portfolio today. We are looking for corporate partners to pilot it across the full range of their climate decisions.

Finance

Financial institutions compare climate investments that work in fundamentally different ways. A consistent assessment of expected climate impact can inform underwriting, risk assessment, and portfolio construction alongside financial analysis. We want to partner with them to put the AIF to work on their goals.

Policy

Policymakers weigh climate interventions when designing incentives, procurement programs, and compliance systems. A comparable, auditable assessment of expected climate impact could sit alongside cost, equity, and feasibility in that design work. We want to develop those applications with governments and public institutions.

Philanthropy

Philanthropists choosing among climate investments face the same comparison problem as everyone else: fundamentally different options and no common unit. The AIF can help funders see where their dollars are expected to go furthest for the atmosphere, and why. Aii is itself a nonprofit, and philanthropic support is what makes the work possible.
